Madtown Hopper

February 26, 2016

Walking home alone at night on a college campus can be scary and dangerous, but one man came up with a creative and safe way for students to get home after a fun night out.

Interesting video – with wonderful use of natural sound from the hollow footsteps at the beginning to the partiers on the hopper. Good video edits. The story is told well without any announcer narration. Good work! As the parent of two UW graduates, I’m sold on the practicality and safety of the service, but left with only one question: how much does it cost?

Jenny & Elise — I really enjoyed what you did with this story. The use of natural sound was so strong. Your main interview was a good “character” and his sound was so strong. You were smart to let him tell the story. Your use of sound clips from passengers helped move the story along. Nicely done.
